  • Only people aged 12 years and above are allowed to do chimpanzee trekking.
  • Chimpanzee trekking groups are supposed to consist of 6 to 10 individuals.
  • Do not take snaps of chimpanzees while your camera flashlight is on.
  • Do not try to feed or touch chimpanzees. Keep your hands to yourself.
  • Keep a distance of 7 to 8 meters away from the chimpanzees.
  • Do not try to provoke chimpanzees.
  • Do not smoke in the presence of chimpanzees.
  • Visitors who are sick or have a cold or cough are not allowed to track chimpanzees.
  • Always keep your voice as low as possible, this enables you to see many chimpanzees with ease.
  • Do not drink, eat, or chew anything in the presence of chimpanzees.
  • You should stay in your trekking groups in order not to get lost.
  • Chimpanzee trekking trails can only be found by experienced ranger guides.
